I wanna share about my newest Short Budget Trip from Jakarta to Kuala Lumpur and Malacca. This time, I will taking a short trip with my 8 office partners and my boss also. Departed from Jakarta at November 4th, 2016 when the "Ahok" demonstration happened in Istana Negara, so we have to leave Jakarta to Airport earlier. We leaved our office at 5 pm and arrived at the Soekarno Hatta Airport at 6.15 pm. We're taking Airasia to Kuala Lumpur at 8.25 pm with return costs IDR 900,000,- per passenger
Arriving in Kuala Lumpur International Airport 2 at 11.50 pm and its still on our schedule although this flight was delayed 30 minutes from the schedule. I used Transnasional Bus to Malacca that departed directly from KLIA2 at 1.30 am. The bus actually cost MYR 24.3 but because I reserved it from the application
www.redbus.com so we getting MYR 20 discount per passanger and the results was I only paid MYR 4.3 per passanger. The only tip that i can share was we have to more searching about any discount that related with our trip.
The Transnational Bus was departed on schedule at 01.30 am. We all sleep along the 2 hours bus journey to Malacca. Arrived in Malacca Sentral at 03.00 am and its so earlier from our schedule and it's made me a little bit confused because the first place that we want to visit was Masjid Selat Melaka and it's 10 minutes drive from Malacca Sentral. So, we taking some food and Teh Tarik at 24 hours Kedai with free wifi in Malacca Sentral, its only costs MYR 52 for 10 person, very cheap isnt it??
Malacca
itself has UNESCO Heritage Site like Bangunan Merah, St Paul Hill and
also lots of museums that shows the greatness of Malacca as the busiest
strait in the world. Malacca (

Melaka), dubbed "The Historic State", is a state in
Malaysia and located in the southern region of the
Malay Peninsula, next to the
Straits of Malacca. Its capital is
Malacca City, which is 148 kilometres (92 miles) south east of Malaysia's capital city

Johor Bahru, and 95 km (59 miles) north west of Johor's second largest city,

After enjoying some Malay Food and more cup of Teh Tarik, I looked for taxi to Masjid Selat Malaka. There were more taxi in front of Kedai but only one taxi that the driver was ready so we booked the taxi for 3 return trip that costs MYR 60. I arrived in Masjid Selat Melaka at 5.00 am. The Malacca Straits Mosque (

Masjid Selat Melaka) is a mosque located on the man-made
Malacca Island near
Malacca City in
Malacca state,
Malaysia. The construction cost of the mosque was about MYR10 million (wikipedia). Masjid Selat Melaka was facilitated with free bathroom and water dispenser so i can refresh my body here after the long journey for free. After taking Shubuh here and refresh the body for free here, we were "check out" from this beautiful mosque at 09.00 am and taking "online taxi" from this mosque to Bangunan Merah that costs MYR 36 for 2 taxis.
Arriving in Bangunan Merah Area, I found many historical buildings while roaming in Malacca like
Churches, Ruins of Forts, Palaces, Temples and Graveyards. The Melaka
administration has remarkably saved its heritage and apart from
destroyed centuries old forts, the Dutch, Chinese, Malay and Muslim
buildings are nicely preserved. There are many other heritage sites which attract tourists including
Christ Church Melaka, St. Paul’s Hill, the Stadthuys, A Famosa Fort, St.
John Fort, Cheng Hong Ten Temple, St Peter’s Church, Maritime Museum
& others. It is also recommended to do one of the activities for the heritage exploration in Melaka like Explore central Malacca on foot, take a trishaw ride and also Take a Melaka river cruise ride.
After enjoy some food in Halal Resto in Jonker Street that costs MYR 83, its hard to find Halal Food in Jonker Street, we tried to save the time and also the money with skipping the spots and only entered Menara Taming Sari that cost MYR 23 per person. After exploring The UNESCO Malacca site for almost 4 hours, our next schedule was taking Bus to Kuala Lumpur from Melaka Sentral. We reserved 10 seats Delima Bus to Kuala Lumpur at 3 pm for MYR 11 per passenger from
www.easybook.com , its normal price but we decided to reserve the seats first because from the information that we received from internet, the bus to Kuala Lumpur from Malacca always full every weekend.
Actually, we still confused, is it worthed to taking taxi from Bangunan Merah to melaka Sentral or we can saving more money with taking Panorama Red Bus no.17 to Melaka Sentral. Asking trishaw driver, they said that we can taking Panorama Bus in front of Red Christ Church but its "Pusing Pusing" or need more time to get the Melaka Sentral. So, we decided to take the Panorama Red Bus in front of Christ Church that only cost MYR 2 per passenger, because i think the "Pusing Pusing" maybe only need 10 minutes longer compared to taxi.
O...oooo...ooo.. the results was the Delima Bus to Kuala Lumpur leaved us because "Pusing Pusing" in Panorama Bus No 17 need 1 hour journey from Christ Church to Melaka Sentral, it means 45 minutes longer than taxi. So, we bought new 10 Delima Bus Ticket to Kuala Lumpur (Terminal Bersepadu Selatan) at 4 pm that costs MYR 100 for all of us. The 2nd tips from me : if you want to taking Panorama Bus No 17 to Melaka Sentral, take it from the front of Taming Sari, cause its will save your time.
We spent 2 hours journey from Melaka Sentral to Terminal Bersepadu Selatan with sleep. For the quality of the bus, although cheaper, The Delima Bus was better than Transnastional Bus, maybe because its newer than Transnasional Bus that we taken from KLIA2. Arriving in Terminal Bersepadu Selatan KL at 6 pm, directly we take the LRT that costs MYR 3 per passenger to our D'Oriental Hotel at Petaling Street. D'Oriental Hotel located in front of Traditional Market in Petaling Street, so its little bit hard to find this hotel. We booked 3 family rooms only and 1 deluxe room only from
www.misteraladin.com that totally cost IDR 1,190,000,-. The room of this hotel was clean with great staff and overall its good budget hotel near intrest spot in KL.
After taking a rest in D'Oriental Hotel, we're looking for the legendaris Portugesse Fish Grill in Petaling Street, still little bit hard to find it because it was located in pedestrian area near Hong Leong Bank. It's so... so... delicious and unique food that i ever eat, with only cost MYR 113, we got 3 extra large Portugesse Fish and 1 medium baloon.
Kuala Lumpur sound really familiar for me because this is my favorite
transit hub, the one and only is because I can get cheaper ticket from

Its Still one and a half hours to midnight, because most of us were the first KL
visitors, we spent the time to visit the icon of Kuala Lumpur “Petronas
Tower” in KLCC. Just only taking LRT from Pasar Seni Station to KLCC Station
that costs MYR1,8 per passenger, we directly see the Petronas Twin Tower. After that, we all back to hotel and taking the rest.
After taking Nasi Lemak as our breakfast that totally costs MYR 68, we went to Batu Caves by LRT to KL Sentral first then transit to Batu Caves by KTM train that cost MYR 2.3 per passenger.
Batu Caves is a
limestone hill that has a series of
caves and cave temples in
Gombak,
Selangor,
Malaysia.
It takes its name from the Sungai Batu (Batu River), which flows past
the hill and also it is the tenth (Pattu in Tamil) limestone hill from
Ampang. Batu Caves is also the name of a nearby village. The cave is one of the most popular
Hindu shrines outside
India, and is dedicated to Lord
Murugan. It is the focal point of Hindu festival of
Thaipusam in Malaysia. Batu Caves in short also referred as 10th Caves or Hill for Lord
Muruga as there are six important holy shrines in India and four more in
Malaysia. The three others in Malaysia are Kallumalai Temple in Ipoh,
Tanneermalai Temple in Penang and Sannasimalai Temple in Melacca (wikipedia).
Spent 2 hours at Batu Caves, We're back to Batu Caves Station to take KTM Train that depart from this station at 12.45 but we arrived at this station 1 minutes late so we waited the next train to KL Sentral about 45 minutes. Arrivig at KL Sentral at 2 pm, we killed the 2 hours time with shopping traditional item at KL Sentral and Branded Item at NU KL Sentral Mall.
After enjoying the truly shopping and also Window Shopping at
KL Sentral, we went to bus shelter to get the Aero Bus to KLIA2 that we
had reserved from www.redbus.com with only MYR 1 per passenger (with
the application discount). Arriving at KLIA2 at 5 pm, we still can spent
1 hour in Gateway KLIA2 Mall. 6 pm arrived, we're entered the custom
and take AirAsia to Jakarta.
